You are loved, just the way you are

“I like you very much, just as you are”

– Bridget Jones’ Diary –

After stumbling across this fantastic short film yesterday called ‘Awakening‘ within a short film series called Live Beyond The Edge I decided to have a look at their website today and further investigate.

I came across this other wonderful short film called ‘Now Is The Time‘, which is equally special. It contains the most beautiful and profound messages and concludes very neatly by saying ‘you are loved, just the way you are.’

And it reminded me of the really lovely part of the film ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’ when Mark Darcy tells Bridget that he likes her ‘just the way she is.’

And it really is that simple. If we were all to love and accept ourselves and others, for who we are, rejoicing, embracing and celebrating our beautiful, intricate and sometimes funny differences, the world would be a much happier and loving place.

So, if you’re up for it, your task for the day is to write a list of all of the things that you love about yourself. All the things that make you special and unique. Write this list, read it out to yourself and put it somewhere that you can see every day. And whenever you are feeling a little down in the mouth or having a bit of a wobbly day, refer to this list and remember that you are loved, just the way you are. Perfect in your imperfections.

Lots of love, light and hugs X x x
