“Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.”
– Mother Teresa –
Admittedly we all have dark days, after all life isn’t sunshine and rainbows 24/7. Well, it might be for the Dali Lama, but for us mere mortals, every now and then we might lose our balance and need picking up, dusting off and popping back up on our perch.
So this blog post is dedicated to how to cheer up.
I actually found a really great wikihow page on this, so I’m going to list the suggestions that they made and provide a link to the page if you want to learn more.
I’ve also found a super cute You Tube video of some pandas playing on a slide, which is bound to cheer you up.
Do fun activities

Find humour in it
- Make faces
- Sing and dance
Common ways to cheer up
- Spruce up your home
- Cheer up someone else
- Hug someone
- Exercise
- Take a power nap
Put it in perspective
- Meditate
- Be thankful
- Forgive
- Accept
- Imagine
And I promise you that even if you have done just one or two of the things on the list, you will be feeling much better.
And most importantly, whenever you’re in a bit of a grump or a funk, turn the frown upside down and into a smile. I know at times it can seem hard, but the minute that you put a smile on your face you are giving your body an indication that you would like to change your state.
Sending you lots of love, hugs and light,
