“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, that is the way great spiritual giants are produced.”

As most of your will know by now, I’m a pretty big fan of TED. And I was lucky enough to attend TEDx Sydney at the Sydney Opera House today, which was truly awesome and incredibly inspiring.
Furthermore, being true to the promise that I made to myself when I started writing this blog of writing a post every day, even though I’m ever so slightly tipsy, and it is 11.44pm, I am writing a blog post before the day is out.
I think the thing that was most profound about today, was that throughout the ecletic mix of people that spoke from Tom Thum the human beat boxer from Brisbane, to George Khut who uses heartbeats to create art, from Adam Spencer who spoke about his TED talk in California about Prime Numbers that brought about a standing ovation to Mr Mark Newson being interviewed about his contribution to the world of art and design, everyone had ideas worth spreading.
And so I guess the conclusion for today is, no matter how random a thing it is that you’re interested in, or have an idea about, have the conviction to spread it. Because you can bet there’s at least a few thousand other people out there that care about what you have to say.
